Please welcome Author Gracen Miller into the Sector 13 Zone. Gracen Miller is the author of the Road to Hell series, which is one of my personal favorite series of all time. We are celebrating the release of the third and finale book in the series, Genesis Queen!
Now, let’s have some fun and see if we can get Gracen Miller to reveal any secrets that would make her a suspect of Sector 13. LOL
Relax, keep your hands and feet in the blog tour until it comes to a complete stop and enjoy interrogating Gracen Miller with my top five questions. :)
1. Genesis Queen is the last book in your Road to Hell series. How hard was it for you to type those last words?
I’m not emotional when I write. I never cry, rarely laugh. I’m often surprised when people tell me they cried or laughed in a scene because I just don’t feel those emotions. I try to convey them with my writing, but I never “feel” them. But when I wrote the last sentence to Genesis Queen I cried and was sad for several days. I felt like I had said goodbye to beloved family members. I’ve been writing on this series since 2008, so it’s taken up several years of my life. So that final sentence was very bittersweet.
2. You created a character that is the epitome of evil. Your readers should not like Micah, yet you wrote him in such a unique way that your readers fell in love with him. How hard was it for you to choose between Micah and Nix?
Ha! Very hard. My girlfriend and I talked about it a lot. I’d say Madison’s gotta pick *insert name*. We’d talk about that decision and by the end of the conversation I’d change my mind again. But I kept going back to the original ending that she’d talk me out of that ending over and over again. By midway through the book, I went to her and said *insert name* is who Madison has to choose and these are the reasons why. That was the only time she didn’t disagree. It was really a great test-run to make sure I crossed all my T’s and dotted all my I’s.
3. The Road to Hell series has many beloved characters. Zen is one of my personal favorites. Any plans to write spin off titles?
Oh, yeah, definitely. The next book in the series is After the Fire, which will detail what happens in the five years after Genesis Queen. Then comes Zen’s book in Immortal Deceiver—which picks up five years after Genesis Queen. There are readers who want books for Amos (the son of the heroine), Kur and even the other bad boy, Elias. I might give them all a book, but I have no idea at this point.
4. What do you find to be the most difficult about writing a series?
Keeping up with all the minute details. Book three still has to tie in with book one. If it doesn’t, a reader will call me on the discrepancy. And I have to make sure I don’t stray from the series “rules” I’ve already set.
5. What are you currently working on?

Uprising by Dawn Jayne BLOG TOUR
Please welcome Author Dawn Jayne into the Sector 13 Zone. Dawn Jayne is the author of Uprising.
Now, let’s have some fun and see if we can get Dawn Jayne to reveal any secrets that would make her a suspect of Sector 13. LOL
Relax, keep your hands and feet in the blog tour until it comes to a complete stop and enjoy interrogating Dawn Jayne with me. :)
1) I know something others don’t. You use to write True Blood fanfic. Did writing fan fiction help or hinder you in writing Uprising?
Both, actually. The fanfic community is wonderfully supportive, and that experience absolutely helped me find the courage to go forward with my own stories. I am wholeheartedly grateful to everyone who offered encouragement.
But when I started to work on Uprising, I found I couldn’t borrow characters any longer. I always tried to mimic the style of authors when I wrote fanfic – as a tribute to them and the worlds they created that I love so much. I had to let that go and concentrate on my own voice and my own style. Now I kinda hope my stories will inspire some fanfic at some point!
2) Where did the idea for Uprising come from?
No idea. The story has been with me for so long it has become a part of my soul. I can’t remember a time in my adult life when this world of angels wasn’t bouncing around in my brain, and over the years the characters and story took shape and got bigger until I thought my head would explode if I didn’t let it out.
Sometimes I wonder why it took me so long to start writing, but then other times I don’t think I could’ve started a single moment before I did. I’m not sure where the idea came from, but I’m glad it stuck with me
3) Is there something that draws you to angels and makes you want to write about them?
Angels just seem this perfect blend of fantasy and reality. The very idea of angels and what they represent inspires strong feelings in me, and I think that’s why I love them, why I’m drawn to them. There’s so many angel books out there already, and the pragmatic side of me said I should pick something else, something ‘new’.
But I told the pragmatist to take a hike and listened to my heart. I love angels, and I love my angels. I couldn’t give them up.
4) Any similarities to your characters and someone in real life? Emory, for sure! He has Choroideremia, and that was not a random insertion. I have a wonderful friend battling with that disease and trying to raise funds for a cure. Just getting the word out there is so important, and I hope Emory helped a little bit. It’s not just something I tossed in there, either. Emory’s struggle fits with the greater arc of the whole story, it’s not out of place.
There’s also a cat – Oliver. He has a real-life counterpart!
5) There’s a lot of interesting stuff in your book from astrology to religion. What research did you do in preparation for Uprising?
Now, let’s have some fun and see if we can get Dawn Jayne to reveal any secrets that would make her a suspect of Sector 13. LOL

Cover Reveal: Genesis Queen by Gracen Miller
This is one HOT cover!
About Genesis Queen:
Genesis Queen is the third book in the Road to Hell Series
Victory is hollow when fate maneuvers one as a pawn.
Madison’s mission is complete. Nix is rescued from Hell and her son safe from his dark destiny. But in the safe harbor of Nix’s love, her demonic husband warns of a murderous plot. Can she trust that it’s the truth and not another scheme to claim her for Hell’s throne?
Sometimes internal struggles can house our biggest demons.
With allies divided and prophecy heralding defeat, Madison gambles on Micah’s tenuous honor to keep their son protected. Torn between her heart’s desires and her dark requirements, Madison worries her hellish fate cannot be avoided. When betrayal comes from an unlikely direction, all their futures may be damned. In the darkest hour of Madison’s life, an undeniable providence will transpire. Who can she trust? And how far will she fall to defeat her foes?
Amid the rubble of defeat will Hell’s Genesis Queen dawn?

About the Author: Gracen is a small town girl who was transplanted to the big city almost ten years ago. She describes herself as a hopeless daydreamer masquerading as a “normal” person in Southern society. When not writing, she’s a full-time basketball/football/guitar mom for her two sons and a devoted wife to her real-life hero-husband. She’s addicted to writing, paranormal romance novels and movies, Alabama football and coffee…addictions are not necessarily in order of priority. She is convinced coffee is nectar from the gods and blending coffee and writing generates the perfect creative merger. Many of her stories are spawned from these coffee highs. Power of the Moon Blog Tour - Last Stop!
What an awesome day to end a tour on one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! We had
an incredible two weeks filled with fun and prizes. This was my first
blog tour. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired. I’ve been involved in
websites in the past so I know a lot of hard work goes into running one but
this blog tour was something entirely different. Wow! I have to hand it to all
the bloggers that helped on this tour. You guys busted your ass! This was a lot
of work. I really had NO idea the amount of time and effort it takes to pull
off a blog tour. I do know how much love and passion each blogger puts into
their site though, and that I will always be grateful for you, the bloggers.
Thank you for taking the time to read my work and give me a spot on your site.
A special thanks to the host site, Forbidden Reviews. Thank you, Mindy, for showing me the way. :)
I wasn’t sure what to post at the end of the tour
so I asked around. The answer I received: GIVE ME COVET THE MOON!
What can I tell you about CtM? Well, if you read
the first chapter at the end of Power of the Moon you know the pace is set to be another thrilling ride. It’s
going to be bloody and intense. I have laughed and cried several times while writing. I
have delayed completing some scenes due to the emotions I have to pull up from
the basement to write them. With PotM being my first book, I have learned a
lot. I have learned to trust my gut and stay true to my voice. That means, the
gloves are off and Covet is going to be an incredible ride for those who already love PoTM.
I’ve once again taken things I personally love and
crafted Covet the Moon. This time… we’re going to “take it to the mattresses.” *hint*
Covet short blurb:
Being a cop is hard enough without the urge to lick the blood from a fresh corpse at a crime scene. Once you've mastered your inner beast, you can keep your fangs from popping. That is, until someone takes away the one person who speaks to your soul, and you’re pushed to your breaking point. Then, the vampire within claws at you from the inside, leaving you with one choice – let it rage!
~ Covet the Moon - coming soon to a coffin near you!

Author Tina Carreiro on the Road to Hell
Road to Hell series: Author Tina Carreiro on the Road to Hell:
Please welcome
Author Tina Carreiro onto the Road to Hell. Tina Carreiro is the author of Power
of the Moon.
Now, it’s time to
create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Tina Carreiro’s wicked secrets while
on the Road to Hell. LOL Yeah, you wish!
;-D
Grab your
favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and
enjoy getting to know Tina…
~~~
GRACEN: Tell me three things about yourself that we
cannot find on the internet or in your bio?
Tina Carreiro: I
could tell you but then the Men in Black will come take you away. Lol Okay,
three things that won’t get you investigated. I worked in a funeral home. I’m
addicted to Caramel Macchiato creamer and… nope, that one will get you in
trouble. ;)
GRACEN: What
hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?
Tina Carreiro: I
love crafts, playing with Lego’s and Rock Band with my family, camping and
photo manipulation.
GRACEN: Do you
have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning
the writing process?
Tina Carreiro:
Yes! I have to have my twist, solid in my head. My husband laughs at me and calls
me M. Night Shyamalan.
GRACEN: If you
were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?
Tina Carreiro:
Well, that’s an easy one. I would start by controlling all the chocolate of the
world, followed by caffeine, then shoes and purses. Now… this won’t throw
everyone off, just mostly women. I’ll start my divide and conquer by giving out
a shoe here, a piece of chocolate there until I have all the women on my side.
That’s the answer to world domination. There’s nothing like the love from a
woman’s heart, nothing like a woman scorn and NOTHING like a woman that wants a
freaking piece of chocolate.
GRACEN: I'd be your faithful minion if you controlled coffee a/k/a nectar of the gods! haha If you
could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what
would it be?
Tina Carreiro: Don’t
waste your time on spiteful, mean spirited people. You can’t change them, rise
above it and move on. Life is short.
GRACEN: What
genre do you write and why that genre?
You took the Blurb right out of my mouth
Here’s the new blurb for Power of the Moon.
Haunted by visions of death, and a past that
holds her prisoner, Mia Starr never imagined her life could become even more complex.
Untapped psychic powers spark to life, and her chosen solitary existence fills
with creatures that shatter her safe reality. Now the very thing she fears the
most is the one thing that will complete her in every way possible.
Detective Cole Barnett has mastered the vampire
within. It has earned him respect and a position with Sector 13, the hardest
job a vampire can hold. When a beautiful mortal is thrown into his
investigation, with powers able to subjugate vampires, she tests his restraint.
Cole and Mia’s passion ignites, but Mia’s fear
holds her back and she struggles to forget his touch and possessive kiss. What
she doesn’t realize is the more she runs from him, the more excited he becomes,
and the hunt is something he cannot resist.
Where the hell is Power of the Moon?
Better yet, where is Covet the Moon?
First, I want to thank all of you who have sent emails regarding
my book. So, here’s the scoop. In March,
I terminated my contract with Firefly and Wisp Publishing for various reasons
and I am no longer affiliated with this publisher in any way.
I wanted to address one of the main concerns I’ve received
and answer the questions about the story changing. Power of the Moon is
currently being “re-vamped” only. The story in itself will not change and we
are simply giving it a proper edit. We hope to have Power of the Moon back out
into the reading world by the end of the year under Time and Tide Publishing, LLC.
Sadly, this has delayed Covet the Moon. I am very touched by
all the readers who have not only enjoyed my work, but have stood by me through
this transition. I will be giving lots of swag and other goodies away when the
time comes to show my appreciation.
Thank you all for your continued support. You guys truly rock!
GO EJ - Book giveaway for the Choroideremia Research Foundation
Imagine seeing life through a straw until your peripheral vision erodes and soon that small tunnel of vision will close into blackness.
That’s what people effected by Choroideremia (CHM) face. Some, have never seen stars, driven a car and their love for reading is fading with their sight.
EJ Scott is one who is effected by CHM. He has already lost 80% of his sight and is fighting to keep the remaining 20%. EJ has set out on a mission to raise awareness and funding for the Choroideremia Research Foundation by running 12 full, 26.2 mile, marathons this year. He’s not only running for himself, but also for everyone that carries the disease which includes his brother and seven year old nephew. His goal is raise $144,000 this year and he’s already raised $20,000.
EJ’s first marathon starts in a week in Arizona.
Why is this so urgent, because time is running out for some and it means the difference between the darkness and the light. A cure is just out of their reach and all they need is the funding.
Here is where the fun starts! To help support EJ raise funds and awareness, a team of authors have decided to give away not one, but several of their own books, bookmarks, and other types of swag. I am lucky to count myself as one of his top supporters! Keep watch as more items are added and PLEASE see rules below.
How to enter. Please pay close attention to the rules there are 2 ways to win! You can do 1 or both:
