Supernova by Crystal Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Supernova!
For me, first person narrative is a hard sell and it has to be good to reel me in and keep my interested. Crystal Ward did just that. This isn’t your cookie-cutter story about love and light. The story starts dark and that’s where it grips you. You slide right into to Evania’s darkness. You can feel Evania's emotional torment and how it suffocates her just to breathe.
We follow Evania on adventure of discovery where a fight to die and fight to live battle inside her. This is where we meet the captivating story line of the Guardians. We meet more characters and their back-stories alone are deep and well written. You get an instant connection with their pain and start waving your Guardian flag for a victories finish. The good guys always win, right?
When Evania’s true powers were discovered, I was blown away by the author’s imagination. The Guardians have incredible abilities and they are really cool. There is evil in the book as well, called Adversaries and Equals both are dangerous enemies. There are some very cool fight scenes, some twists, and surprises. Entwined in all this there is a beautiful love story that shows you, “the possible in a world of impossible.” I highly recommended, Supernova and don’t forget the teaser for the next installment, Tsunami!
I just hope they find “other” uses for the plastic wrap. ;)

You know I'm all about the moon.
The August full moon is a very cool moon because it turns red. Many Native American tribes call this moon, the Full Red Moon, as it will appear reddish through any sultry haze the higher it rises into the sky.

So, spread the Power of the Moon love and let's celebrate the full, Red Moon! http://amzn.to/qGrdE9

Imperfection
We constantly strive to be what in our minds is perfect. Sometimes, it haunts us and the constant battle against our imperfections weighs heavy in our hearts. But, know this; the most beautiful things in this world are flawed. Some are considered rare. Although some can be microscopic, every diamond has a flaw and its beauty can still sparkly in the eyes of those who behold the gems splendor.
Many things in our daily life hold imperfections. There is a tree I frequently pass that only grows branches on the left side. The right side is completely flat with only bark. I find this tree, with all its flaws, beautiful. I can think of a million other things that are flawed that captivate me – things that I love, including my one-eyed cat. Can you?
The imperfections and flaws that make natural elements so beautiful, is the uniqueness that makes us all beautiful, imperfect humans. :)
Embrace your imperfection. You. Are. Beautiful.
Cracked-Pot
A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.
After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do a lot of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you've watered them.
For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."
Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape. Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life!

Power of the Moon’s - Detective Cole Barnett
Since the eBook release of, Power of the Moon, much love has been given to my character, Detective Cole Barnett. So much love that he has his own Facebook page. Cole’s character is close to my heart, as are most of my characters, but Cole … let’s just say a big chunk of him is embedded into my soul.
In addition to a devastating smile, Cole has many layers. In POTM, you only received a taste of his past and a peek into his pain because the book was more focused on Mia’s self discovery. In book two, Covet the Moon, you’ll get a little more of both sides but, let’s just say Cole’s fangs are going to come out a bit more. ;)
Power of the Moon will be released in print on July 4th. You can join us for the pre-order FB party Tuesday, June 14 at 12:00am - June 15 at 12:00am for giveaways!
Some favorite Cole quotes:
“My love, you are playing with a fire that you do not fully understand.” His voice was deep and controlled. “There are times I may not be able to control myself. I am injured and I need to feed – this would be one of those times.”
“I don’t know what circumstances occurred in your life for you to build such a strong brick wall around your heart, but I do intend to tear it down.”
“When you give yourself to me, completely, I will bite you. Until then my love, I will only nibble on you.”
Why do you love Cole and what are your favorite quotes?
Now, I know why you're really here so check out your clue at the top and the next blog link to hop to at the bottom. Many prizes to come including a PDF copy of, Power of the Moon. Remember to follow these two rules: leave a comment on each blog and to have fun! If you break a rule, Detective Cole Barnett may have to pay you a visit. :)

Life is what you make it
I’ve always been baffled by people who sit around and claim to be victimized by the world when, the harsh reality is they’ve created their own mess. We see this often with the manipulators of the world. Those who prey on the weak and the kindhearted. They are surprised and rather shocked when life comes crashing down around them.
I’m a firm believer in Karma or “the spiritual order of law,” cause and effect, what goes around comes around. There has to be a balance of positive and negative energy. If you do something negative toward someone, well then watch out, you will get it back threefold.
If you are like me and have sat back and watched the power of Karma play out in life, then you know eventually, the mean and bad things someone does will come back to bite them on the ass.
Your life is what you make it. You can choose to be a victim of circumstance, a product of your environment or you can rise above it. Depression – been there. Torrid tails of a bad childhood – done that. There are many paths I could have taken, dark paths. However, I refused to let it happen. I have dreams and I go after them with a vengeance. Just like my character Mia, I have rules I try to follow.
Stay away from all negativity. Pay it forward and be kind. Life doesn’t have a rewind. ;)
